Francesco Cilea
Especially famous for his operas; among the interpreters deserves a special mention Tito Schipa, Italian tenor from Lecce (27/12/1888 – 16/12/1965), in the “Arlesiana”. In the piano compositions the trait of Cilea is unique for the ability of creating crystalline sounds, the glare of water and sea storms, from the sparkling atmosphere of “Risonanze Nostalgiche” to the virtuous and brilliant “Festa Silana”.
